Topic for 8/27 - 9/2

Ah, classic TV.  The funny thing about that episode of Gilligan's Island Marie mentioned is, I remember watching it as a kid, but I have no recollection of the robots!

This week, we're back to classic TV:

ST:TOS!!!

(For those of you not in the know, that's Star Trek: The Original Series.  But I probably don't need to explain that to you guys!)  So many goodies to mine in that universe.  As always, have fun with it, everyone!

Topic for 8/20 to 8/26

Yay for Heat! Yay for the wrapping up of summer! Adam, will you finally tell us where that lady is from? I'm going crazy because I KNOW I've seen her from somewhere. Brain = racked. Ready for next week's topic?

GILLIGAN'S ISLAND!

Now for the strangest episode in GI history, I present for inspiration:

Gilligan and the Skipper join the Harlem Globetrotters in a basketball game against robots to save the island
I'm not even joking.

Good luck!

Charles Eubanks - Heat

As most of you already know, something amazing happened this week: Marie completed her 365th drawing.  Now, I know from personal experience that creating something new every day is incredibly difficult.  Doing so for an entire year?  Now, that's just mind-blowing.

Adam Heine - Heat

Got canned heat in my heals tonight, baby.

(Sorry, it was the only thing that came to mind when I thought of the theme).

Bonus points if you can name both movies.

Topic for 8/13 to 8/19

Ah, farewell, Olympics.  We hardly knew ye.  And great job, everyone.  Perhaps the Olympic Committee will take note of some of these new sport suggestions.

This week's topic is something we cannot escape of late:

HEAT!!!

In related news, I discovered tonight that fans are MUCH more efficient when you clean all the dust and gunk out of them.

Stay cool, you guys!

Charles Eubanks - Olympics

Tennis is an Olympic sport, right?  (google-google-google...)  Why YES, it is!  In that case, here's a preliminary sketch for the Tennis Fiends logo I did a while back.  (If you're a tennis junkie, I highly recommend their shirts.  Comfy and fashionable!)  I've actually been doing some more work for this client this past week, and I REALLY wish I could show you now.  Suffice it to say, I will be announcing something new soon.

Topic for 8/6 to 8/12

The Curiosity stuck the landing! I like to think our collective creative karma had something to do with that. Now speaking of sticking landings, ready for this week's topic? It's kind of a given, considering the fever I've been down with for the last 10 days..

OLYMPICS!

Flips and dressage and tracks and coxswains and bars and rings and fireworks and (deep breath) ahhh! I've got a fever and the only cure is MORE OLYMPICS. Good luck and I'm pretty sure we'll all take the gold on this one. (wa wa waaa)

Charles Eubanks - Mars

Lost: six-wheeled skateboard, last seen in the vicinity of Ares Valles in 1997.  If found, please contact NASA.

Marie Criddle - Mars

In my researching for this week's topic, I found the coolest thing: FACE ON MARS. The Cydonians were a talented and industrious people. Lizard people. Wookie-looking, wiggly-limbed lizard people.

Adam Heine - Mars

H. G. Wells was right about everything except the scale.
