It goes a little something like this:

DUUZSH!

It's a bit of a catchphrase for her, actually.

If I'd said that this picture reminds me of my wife, you would have gotten the wrong impression!Charles Eubankshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07011545501538481536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7657487141468380747.post-77728093096893495582011-07-14T14:01:34.916-07:002011-07-14T14:01:34.916-07:00Adam - You did, I swear! And I'm glad to see commenting is working for you. Yay!

Helen - Thanks! I actually had that in black and yellow, then erased it because it was TOO comic-y. However, it left a shadow and I think I'm okay with that. :)K. Maybe change the expression on the punchee's eyebrows to surprise or anger? And his red tie could show some movement too. Plus what Adam said minus the blood & teeth...heehee! In addition to the Cheerios you could provide a cheep set of color markers (or ?) for your child and let them paint like mommy!laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05052171775980417222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7657487141468380747.post-62836548731015415942011-07-14T00:33:07.613-07:002011-07-14T00:33:07.613-07:00I guess I am about the comic effect, aren't I?...I guess I am about the comic effect, aren't I?

I don't remember talking about Porco Rosso, but yeah, you should see it. Maybe from you? Probably from you.

And thanks for the input! I agree, I can definitely tilt the punchee's head to respond to the impact. And open eyes could add to a comic effort. Bloody teeth...you're cruel. I'll have to consult my husband for details. :D

Thanks again!K. I was just gonna draw a hand or two :-)

I'm not sure, but I think it might help if the punchee's head was facing more to the left (and, you know, maybe wide-eyed and spitting out blood and/or teeth).

And maybe give your kid a snack while you're painting? A bowl of Cheerios can keep my toddler occupied for at least 5 minutes!Adam Heinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02225813532455467868noreply@blogger.com
