Topic for 4/30 to 5/6

Nice steampunk last week, everyone!  I should read more steampunk -- perhaps on my shiny new steambook!

We have another fun pop culture theme this week:

STAR WARS!!!

So much material to draw from, I'm not even sure where to start, myself!  Have fun, everyone!  And may the force be with you.

Peter Hong - Steampunk

I must also confess ignorance on this topic. However, I've been watching a lot of Naruto, and thought this would be a cool variation of a frame i otherwise completely ripped off <blush>. steam-powered CHIDORI!!!

Charles Eubanks - Steampunk

I freely admit that I don't know much about steampunk.  A few exposed gears on a jetpack work, right?  Right...?

Adam Heine - Monsters of the Deep

I've been reading Leviathan for research (seriously, writing? Best job ever! (except for the money)). I don't see how I could NOT draw a kraken this week.

Topic for 4/16 to 4/22

Do you enjoy drawing tentacles?  Does the dark, chilly depths of the ocean call to you?  Do you own a plush octopus?  (or two, like me?)  If so, then you're going to love this week's theme:

Monsters of the Deep!!!

Get your cthulu on, people!  (Or what have you.)  Let's make people shiver!

Peter Hong - Weddings

For some reason, I find fashion sketches fascinating...

Marie Criddle - Weddings

When Preston and I got married, the ever so clever caterer thought he could get away with replacing the bottom two tiers of our wedding cake with cardboard, hoping we would just cut the top tier.

Thinking the cake was just frozen, not cardboard, we ended up sawing it into many messy pieces before the caterer came running out of the kitchen to admit his mistake and redirect our knives. WE WERE THE CAKE DESTROYERS. BEWARE OUR CEREMONIAL KNIVES.

Topic for 4/9 to 4/15

Welp, I feel like spring has been sufficiently welcomed. Nicely done, peeps! (See what I did there? Because Easter and peeps and springs and...okay, I'm done.) Ready for this week's challenge? What says spring more than...

WEDDINGS!

Mua ha ha, we demand you get romantic! (Or not, really...depending on what weddings incite in you.) Good luck...and you may kiss the Pentel markers!

Also, if you have any suggestions for a future topic, PLEASE leave them below! If you've suggested something and we haven't used it, hit us up again. We're not tyrannical, just forgetful. :)

Hope the weather's treating you nicely!
