Hey, Anthdrawlogians! (Anthdrawlogeeks? Anthdraughtsmen? What do we call ourselves, anyway?) This week's topic is...
HANDS!
We've all got 'em, so why are they so challenging to draw? Maybe this will be a cake walk for some of you, but personally, I struggle with hands.
For extra credit, try to show some emotion. Hands can be incredibly expressive! And as always, try to tell a story with your picture.
Here's a bit of inspiration to get you started:
Toby Shelton - I've Got To Hand It To You (2010)
Preson Blair - Cartoon Animation (see pp. 28-30)
Stephen Gilpin - Pencil Miles (hands1, hands2)
Flip - Hands
Good luck, everyone!

I have been calling us Anthdrawlogists. Makes us sound very scientific :)
Thanks for the Hand website references and good call on the topic.
I like both Anthdrawlogians and Anthdrawlogists.
Cool topic. I like the fancy ones (board games) because they let me be fancy, but I like the simple ones because they make me focus on the basics. Fun!
Although I'm seriously thinking about drawing a hand flipping the bird. The only thing stopping me is I have to show it to my wife ;-)
Mandy - I like it!
Adam - never occurred to me! I must be getting old.
I think at one time I referred to us as "Anthdrawlolololos" but I was also watching the video of that Trolololo guy...so that might not be the most accurate moniker. I agree with Mandy, Anthdrawlogists sounds scientific!
And great links! I'm excited to see what we all come up with.
