Adam Heine - Life Sketches/Hope

For me, my life sketches (which are all of my kids, basically) are the same thing as hope. They are why we do what we do.

I forgot to get my brain out of "get it right" mode, so I didn't really do gesture drawings like I should've. But I like what I did (except for Nathan's face; don't know what happened there).

Also I need a new scanner. Those lines bug me every time. Anyway, here are a couple of bonus sketches I drew back when we first moved here (Thailand) and worked at an orphanage.

For the record, I like this topic. I'd be willing to do it repeatedly :-)

I love the sleeping kids. What is more precious than sleeping children?! A Really like how you got the legs right, how they are always contorted into what seems unnatural and uncomfortable.

Ha, I sleep with my legs that way too! Then my cat sleeps in the "foothills."

Nice drawings! And I like your point about hope. :)

Ha! Thanks, Carin. Fortunately, they're easier to draw when they're asleep ;-)
