Adam Heine - Pirates

Technically, these are air pirates, from a novel that I really, really hope a certain editor likes and wants to pay me money for (and by "a certain editor," of course, I mean any of the editors my agent sends it to).

Hagai saw Kiro's ship through the spyglass. A rope was tied to the prow, and at the other end, just above the water, Fitch hung by his wrists.
Fitch squirmed, looking at his feet in terror. The ocean underneath him was dark as night, dancing higher than the water around it. Dark water. Fitch shouted something. They were too far away to hear, but Hagai felt sure he was calling for help.

That's actually Sam in the picture (Sam's excerpt was too spoilery :-).

Also, I wouldn't say that's what he's "supposed to look like," necessarily. Rather, at my current skill level, that's the closest I could get to what's in my head ;-)

Love love love it! The dark water was one of the most fascinating things in the book (among others, of course)...this gives it great justice. :) And that sleeve! Awesome. Love it when you do full color.
