Marie Criddle - Weddings

When Preston and I got married, the ever so clever caterer thought he could get away with replacing the bottom two tiers of our wedding cake with cardboard, hoping we would just cut the top tier.

Thinking the cake was just frozen, not cardboard, we ended up sawing it into many messy pieces before the caterer came running out of the kitchen to admit his mistake and redirect our knives. WE WERE THE CAKE DESTROYERS. BEWARE OUR CEREMONIAL KNIVES.

Thing is, I love frosting so much, I probably would have eaten a cardboard piece!

Congrats, you two! Was your anniversary the inspiration for this week's theme?

Hahaha! That is pure awesome.

LOL. What was that caterer thinking? We always go for the big piece too.

I love Preston's "You're going down" face.

Oh my gosh, craziest story ever!! I would be so mad! Did you get the cake for free and a replacement?! We had only one real layer, but that was on purpose, so we knew it. :)

Charles - I have to admit, I certainly had it in mind when picking this week's theme. :D

Peggy - Thanks so much!!

Adam - I know, right? We wanted a big tall piece!

Jolee - He gave us the impression that the whole thing would be cake...and he would have gotten away with it were it not for the meddling bride and groom and their pokey knives. :D
