Adam Heine - Favorite Books

The book is STORMDANCER by Jay Kristoff. It's Japanese steampunk. With griffins.

I admit I'm slightly cheating this week. First, because I haven't read the whole book yet (only the first three chapters), so technically it cannot be my favorite book (but seriously, Japanese steampunk? That's like putting together bacon and bacon).

Second, because I'm using my Anthdrawlogy post as a bid for Jay's last ARC. So yeah, as if my attempt to get on Scott Westerfeld's blog wasn't bad enough, I have now completely sold out.

I regret nothing.

Here's the scene without text, if you want it.

HA! Wow, I REALLY like this. And I like the premise of the story; it's up a large portion of my alleys. So much bacon and bacon.

I heartily support the "selling out". :D I think it's more like drawing something awesome (LOVE the background work, btw) and reaping any benefits and rewards that might swing your way.

JAY. GIVE ADAM THE ARC. THE ART DESERVES IT AND ALL OF ANTHDRAWLOGY WILLS IT.

That was my thinking. Thanks for the support!

cool characters. i like how everyone's eyes and mouth are covered. so what's the story, and what's it got to do with izanagi's balls?

From what I know, it's feudal Japan except with machines and steam and industry (their faces are covered because of all the crap in the air).

These characters have been told to catch a griffin for the Emperor, even though all the griffins are extinct. Akihito's not too happy about that.
