Marie Criddle - Horses

I'm still stateside sans scanner, so I had to take a picture of my sketchbook and retouch them in (gulp) Preview. And bonus points to whoever can recognize what the second one is! My favorite horsie of all. Uh...I mean horse. I am not a 12 year old girl, I swear.

wow, marie, these are great! it's not hard to tell you're a vet (ooh, that was painful) at drawing horsies horses. i really like the texturing and their faces, esp. in the eyes. dunno who the second horse is, but his eyes are intense and deer-like.

The short hair reminds me of Spirit of the Cinnabon. I mean Silmarillion. I mean Simarron. What the heck is that word?

But no, I don't know where the horsie is from :-)

Thanks, guys! Okay, so the second one is a Przewalski's Horse, the only "wild" horse species left in the world...it's never been successfully tamed, which is maybe why it gives off a Stallion of the Simulation vibe. :D (Ooooor...maybe just the hair.)

Seriously, they're one of the most interesting things on the planet. For your consideration: Przewalski's Horse
