Great singers last week, everyone! I love how we all went in completely different directions! That's one of my favorite things about this blog: seeing everyone's unique interpretations.
This week's theme is more specific, but there's still LOTS of room for creativity:
BATMAN!
This one goes out to Marie's husband Preston, who suggested this topic a few weeks back. Remember, if anyone out there has ideas for topics, let us know!
And now... to the Batmobile!!!

Jaqai Mickelsen - Singers
Well, randomly, this last week I've ended up being pretty active with some basketball and some football...and since I typically just sit in front of a computer, you can say certain joints were singing the blues...

Also, the first time I've ever done this, I played around and captured myself actually drawing this on the ol' wacom. Here is that if interested.

Adam Heine - Singers
These are our boys, and I have a question for you professionals: is there anything more difficult to draw than a specific person's face?
The sketch comes directly from this video. Yes, we are the Von Trapps.

Topic for 1/23 to 1/29
Nice hats, Anthdrawlogians! Creepy, warm, presidential and smurfy...I think we nailed it. :) Ready for a little facial action challenge? How about...
SINGERS!
Maybe we were a little sentimental about Etta James' passing, maybe we were getting geared up for the bajillioneth season of American Idol...either way, it'll be a great oppportunity to work on some expressions, right?
Gooooo-oo-oood luu--uu--ck! (I was trying to sing that. Yikes. Probably should just stick to drawing.)

Charles Eubanks - Hats
I was trying to come up with a good caption for this. My initial thought was "Democrat in the Hat," but Lincoln wasn't a democrat. Suggestions, anyone?

Topic for 1/16 to 1/22
Sorry, I'm a bit late posting the topic this week, so I'll get right to it! This week's topic is...
HATS!
Put on your thinking caps, everyone! Lots of possibilities here. And this should be a good chance to stretch your dimensional drawing skills. Have fun!

The Alliance of Men and Elves at the Siege of Barad-dûr.
As far as I'm concerned, there is only one kind of elf. I'm somewhat more flexible as to who their boss is.

Jaqai Mickelsen - Elves

...I admit it. I know nothing about mythical creatures. But, I've always pictured elves as rather small.
Also, I think I'm officially responsible Anthdrawlogy's first toilet. Sophistication is always key.

Topic for 1/9 to 1/15
Whoa. Those were some sweet rockets, guys. Ready for a new week? How about:
ELVES!
I can't wait to see what those mischievous pencils come up with. Better yet, just leave out a blank piece of paper all night and see what comes up! And remember, if you have any suggestions for future topics or new members, please leave them in the comments! If you've suggested something before and you haven't seen it yet, please say it again...we don't mean to overlook anything! Happy elving! (shush. It's a word, I swear.)

Topic for 1/2 to 1/8
A new year, a new topic! This time, I don't think we'll have to dig too deep to muster inspiration from our inner geeks:
ROCKET SHIPS!!!
This suggestion comes from Carolee. And, for an extra challenge, she says Marie needs to incorporate unicorns into her drawing! (Unicorns are totally optional for the rest of you.)
As always, post your ideas for new topics in the comments! And if you know of others who would like to become Anthdrawlogists, let us know!
