Charles Eubanks - Star Wars

May the 4th be with you!  This is one of those weeks where I had a bunch of false starts.  I think the pressure of trying to do something worthy of Star Wars got to me.  Anyway, here's an attempt at a digital color painting, which I aborted partway through; followed by a complete do-over on paper with pencil and ink.  And honestly, I'm not sure I like either one.  I'm curious to hear what you guys think!

Your drawings always make me smile. I think I like the facial expressions and body language of the first one better, but that's me. I love the Chewie doll.

I love the colors on the digital one! Especially the slight shade of blushing on Han's cheeks. The digital kids look a little younger than the pen and ink ones, but I think that's just proportions.

That said, I'm a fan on the posturing on the second one...the leaning back makes it looks like Leia's just exasperated rather than rejecting Han outright. Same concept, two very different feels. Well done!

And yes, the Chewie doll is to die for. Want!!

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate your feedback. This was fun to draw. Twice.
