Oh man, I keep forgetting the rancor monster was on Tatooine! Awesome choice! Carolee says, "Yee-haw!"

Ha! Yeah, that crying rancor trainer in Jabba's palace was the most random touching moment of the whole saga.

Thanks, guys! Did anyone ever read the "Tales from Jabba's Palace" book? Gives a little background on the rancor keeper (Malakili): turns out that he had planned to escape the palace with his beloved pet the morning after Luke arrived, but the Jedi got to him first.

Really heartbreaking, actually. Those tears are totally warranted.

Oh man... I never read that book, but I DISTINCTLY remember experiencing that scene in the theater when the movie first came out. That was the first time I recall really questioning George Lucas as a filmmaker. This poor character is crying, the audience is bursting out laughing, and I'm thinking, "Wha?!? Is this scene supposed to be funny? 'Cause it's really not!"

I prefer your version, Marie! Freedom!!!

Ha! Thanks, Charles! I know rewriting the original trilogy is tantamount to blasphemy, but if Lucas can do it, so can a lowly fan, right?
