Adam Heine - Pirates
Technically, these are air pirates, from a novel that I really, really hope a certain editor likes and wants to pay me money for (and by "a certain editor," of course, I mean any of the editors my agent sends it to).
Hagai saw Kiro's ship through the spyglass. A rope was tied to the prow, and at the other end, just above the water, Fitch hung by his wrists.
Fitch squirmed, looking at his feet in terror. The ocean underneath him was dark as night, dancing higher than the water around it. Dark water. Fitch shouted something. They were too far away to hear, but Hagai felt sure he was calling for help.

Topic for 3/26 to 4/1
Great job on the ten minute challenges, guys! Serious, the talent we've got packed into our little corner of the web is pretty dang stunning. Are you ready for this week's challenge. ARG, it's a good one!
PIRATES!
I KNOW, RIGHT?!? Woohoo! Charles and I came up with the same topic at the same time, so we're pretty sure it's a sign. Grab your hooks and eye patches and swords and fighter planes and your map of Penzance and stripey pants and---oh yes, of course: your PEN---and go coconuts!
